There are no scheduled playtesting events at Protospiel Online, but you can see who’s coming, what games they are bringing, and which days/times a game’s designer plans to attend in our Prototypes Listing system.
Using this system you can:
Show off your prototypes to drum up interest before the event
Get a sneak peek at the games you’ll be able to play over Protospiel weekend
Share extra info about your game via a website or boardgamegeek.com link
Invite other attendees to subscribe to your email list
Get Listed!
To add your game to the current prototypes listing, join the Discord server through the purchase of a Designer, Publisher, or Press badge, then visit the list a prototype page on our website. You can also find a link to list your prototypes in our Discord #prototypes channel under Attendee Benefits.
A Note to Publishers
In April 2021, we started giving designers the chance to share more about how they are looking to publish their game when they add it to our Prototypes listing. From this point onward, you can filter the quick look listing below to find games looking for a publisher to pick them up. Specifically, a “Yes” in the “Looking for a Publisher” field means that “Looking for a Publisher” was at least one option the designer chose under publication plans when they listed their prototype.
Starting in July 2021, we added more detailed questions about publication plans, so prototypes from that time forward will likely have more information available on the prototype’s detailed listing. You can also click the “Looking for a Publisher” link on any individual prototype listing on our website to get a full list of every prototype posted on our site that has this option selected.
Remember that we are always asking this question in the context of the event where the prototype is presented. Each individual game listing is labeled at the top with the month and year the prototype was presented in. Prototypes from many months back may or may not have had a change in publication plans since the last posting.
Prototypes from Current & Past Events
The tables in the tabs below show a quick look at all the prototypes shared for each Protospiel Online weekend. You can filter based on anything you can see in the table including designer name, minimum and maximum player count, playtesting platform, and game length.
Visit the full listing pages for prototypes under the currently active event to select the “Interested to Play” option. This will send the designer a notification that you’ll be keeping an eye out for them in LFG Voice and for their Players Wanted card in the #looking-for-a-game channel. The full listings also include images of the games and, when available, extra information like how to play videos, playtesting feedback surveys, or opportunities to follow the game’s development progress after the convention.
You can also open the tabs for previous months to see all the prototypes presented during past Protospiel Online weekends.

The system we used for creating the Prototypes listing in April 2021 did not allow for each prototype to have its own page. Because of this, each listing below does not have a "View Details" button like you'll find for other events.
