Protospiel Online is committed to creating a welcoming environment for designers and playtesters of all backgrounds.
In an effort to expand our community and provide useful tools outside of Protospiel Online events, we publish multimedia content focused on game design and tabletop community building.
Livestream Hosts design and host a monthly video show of at least 1 hour per episode simultaneously streamed on Twitch, Facebook Live, and YouTube. Archived episodes will remain available via each of these platforms.
We are accepting applications for livestream host positions and particularly encourage BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and women gamers to apply.
Job Responsibilities
- Livestream Hosts are responsible for creating and hosting their show
- Host monthly episodes of at least 1 hour in length each
- Moderate and engage with a live audience
- Coordinate scheduling with co-hosts and guests (if applicable)
- Share verbal calls to action during your streams according to provided best practices
- Conduct yourself appropriately and be a good cheerleader for Protospiel Online and the playtesting community
- Read and uphold our Code of Conduct
- Follow standard operating procedures for Protospiel Online livestream events
- Attend a video call training session with organizers to learn how to operate your livestream
Job Requirements
- Must be comfortable on camera for 1+ hours at a time
- Familiarity with livestream content and formats
- Prior Protospiel Online attendance is not required, but familiarity with the event and the ability to answer audience questions is essential
- Explicitly sexual or gory content is considered inappropriate for livestream content. Please use discretion when presenting themes that may be considered offensive or disturbing to others.
- Must have a stable internet connection and applicable equipment for your show
Note: Hosts will use a Restream account provided by Protospiel Online to broadcast each stream.
